Two laps, 52 miles, 8,000 feet of climbing — Blaze of Glori is the full send at Glorieta, and Zia Rides isn't shy about it. Expect hike-a-bike, expect suffering, expect to feel genuinely accomplished when it's done. This is the granddaddy course for a reason.
Those two laps cover the whole inner trail network: Route 66, the Green Belt, Cairn Me Up, Chips and Salsa, Snack Pack, Holy Mole, Ruiz Canyon, and whatever else the organizers decide to throw in. Glorieta's high-desert mountain terrain mixes technical singletrack with punchy climbs in the Sangre de Cristo foothills — it's the kind of place that earns its trail names.
