Who we are
About
Groovin' Grind is a calendar and a community for people who ride to explore. The events are the doorway — the riders are the point.
Somewhere between the race tape and the couch is the best part of cycling: the Saturday gravel grind, the no-drop trail crew, the three-day desert route that ends at a breakfast burrito stand. That's the riding we live for, and it's weirdly hard to find in one place. So we're building that place.
The big tent
We're for everyone who rides to explore — gravel, mountain, road, cyclocross, bikepacking, or the beat-up klunker in the garage. New to it or 30 years deep, fast or unhurried, you belong here. Zero gatekeeping. If you ride for the adventure, the place, and the people, you're one of us.
What we believe
- Riders are never the product. You won't pay for the core calendar, and you'll never be the thing we sell to someone else.
- No surveillance, ever. No behavioral ad-tech, no data sales, no creepy tracking. We use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics or none at all.
- Rooted in place. We start in the Southwest and grow region by region, so the calendar feels local, not generic.
- Built to last and built to be fast. The site is lightweight, works on old phones and slow signal, and respects your battery and your data plan.
- Your data is yours. Every event offers a calendar export, and feeds are open. Take it with you.
How we keep the lights on
Eventually, through the people who already profit from great rides — organizers who want better tools, and local shops and businesses who want to reach riders honestly. Basic event listings stay free and complete forever. Paid placement, when it exists, will be additive and clearly labeled — never a way to bury someone else, and never at the expense of your experience.
Dirt, Dust & Damn Good Times. Come ride with us.
