The Navajo Nation premier mountain bike event — a grassroots festival staged high in the Chuska Mountains every late September since 1995, put on by the nonprofit NavajoYES.
Ride your way: the Tour offers non-competitive 35-mile and 20-mile options, while the competitive race runs a range of distances with awards up top. There is a youth race on Saturday and a skills course set up all weekend to mess around on.
It is as much gathering as race — live music, workshops, kids events, and camping at Chuska camp Friday through Sunday. Registration comes with a long-sleeve performance tee and a Chuska poster. High country, big community, real Navajo Nation hospitality.
