Borderlands Gravel Race

Douglas, AZ, USA, AZ

It's a race, but the vibe here is clearly bigger than a podium chase — BorderLands Gravel bills itself as an experience, and the whole setup backs that up. Pros and first-timers are explicitly welcome, the infrastructure is dialed (GPS navigation, aid stations along the route), and friends and family have their own adventure waiting just across the international border in Agua Prieta.

The riding is on the Geronimo Trail through Cochise County's Arizona-Sonora borderlands — rugged, remote, and apparently gravel that earns the "clase mundial" label. This corner of the desert has a particular wild loneliness to it, the kind of landscape that makes you feel like you're actually going somewhere rather than just completing a loop.

Three distances give everyone a reason to show up: the Long Course at 92.3 miles, a Medium at 60.4, and a Short at 38.7 (which also serves as the e-bike route). Riders from Mexico (MX Residents) can enter any distance. Pick your suffer level accordingly.
