DESCRIPTION:Day of the Tread is Albuquerque's costumed\, all-ages charity ride where showing up in skeleton kit is basically mandatory. Competitive? Not even a little — this is a Halloween/Día de los Muertos celebration on wheels\, and the vibe is firmly "fun for everyone" over "fastest on the road." Every skill level is genuinely welcome\, and the distance menu is long enough that nobody has an excuse to sit this one out.\n\nThe road routes (6\, 12\, 18\, 23\, 47\, 55\, 66\, and 100 miles) roll out from the Sawmill District on 20th St. NW. If you'd rather get dirty\, the Bosque BoneShaker Gravel Grinder branches off with its own set of options (8\, 17\, 31\, 50\, and 73 miles) running roughly 40% dirt through the Rio Grande bosque corridor — cottonwood bosque gravel hits different in late October when the leaves are turning.
